I had hoped to keep this wonderful headphone during my hiatus from the hobby, to use once or twice per month because a) it's the only hi-end HP that one can wear all day without fatigue, b) they can play ALL music excellently, regardless of recording quality, and c) it even works well with DAPs.
But due to the continuing family health issues, I haven't been able to listen at all the last few months, so it really should go to someone who can enjoy it.
As the previous ad states, this was an original Empyrean that was upgraded to Elite, so it uniquely has the beautiful golden rods (which I think looks better than the normal silver).
I have all the documentation that Leto provided which shows the upgrade path and conversations, including Meze stating that there is no sonic difference between this pair and the silver Elites. I can provide this doc to serious buyers (no tire kickers, please - I am too busy, sorry).
