I'm *** NOW SOLD *** my Susvaras, which I've owned from new.
I bought them from a US dealer and treated them like my forever-headphones, since I was convinced they were going to be. Turns out that you *can* do better than the Susvara if you don't mind buying a bunch of headphones, headphone amplifiers, and headphone stands.
If I could only have one headphone, it would be the Susvara, driven by either the Enleum AMP-23R (or Bakoon AMP-13R), a CFA3, or (a notch down in my opinion) a Riviera AIC10. Or a T+A A 3000 HV — that works too. I've not heard them on HIFIMAN's own EF1000, but I'd put money on it sounding great.
Instead of that nice simple setup, I have a CFA3, a Stax T2 and six different headphones (Abyss 1266 Phi TC, Stax X9000, Meze Empyrean, RAAL requisite SR1a, Grado RS2E, Audeze XC). What. A. Hobby. (/Problem.)
These are in fantastic condition — zero marks, scratches etc. Just minor flecks of dust here and there. You'll be happy when you get these having not paid the list price of $6,000
PayPal fees and shipping within the continental US included at my asking price.
