This is a NEW HE1000SE that I received directly from Hifiman
I received this unit late March 2021 as a replacement for my pervious unit that had a failed driver.
This new unit is hardly used - maybe 4 hours
WARRANTY til end APRIL 2022 through me (as officially not transferrable) - but I have always found and have read Hifiman service to be very good for customers
IMHO:
These headphones are exceptional.
Great detail and precision when it comes to sound stage/placement.
Plays well out of everything that I have heard it with from my iphone to my ipad to my taurus to my v280 to my niimbus us4.
It is THAT versatile.
It also makes a great complement to an lcd4 or utopia or empyrean
