I'm belatedly letting go of my audiophile gateway drug, the Grado SR125. They now have brand-new, never-used foam pads in the L-cush shape. I'll also include a set of Geekria flat pads for a more intimate sound.
It's the classic SR125. No e, no i, no x, just the reputation-making Grado Prestige Series sound, with that vintage ham-radio-operator Grado look. The SR125 are as lightweight as the SR60 and SR80, with much better sound.
New SR125x are $175. I recently tried the SR225x, and sorry, but these are pretty close (and they have better pads and cable IMHO).
I have barely used these since I got my SR325 (also no i, e, or x), which was soon after I got these recabled by Grado. While these are old-school SR125, the replacement cable gave them a 3.5mm plug rather than the original 1/4-inch plug.
The close-up photo is to show there's no wear at the connection of the cable to the drivers.
Free shipping, CONUS only. Putting these up on Head-Fi first; they'll be more expensive if I go to Ebay.
