Hello and thanks for looking!

Up for sale is an Audio GD NFB D-27.38 (standard version, non 2022), Dual Sabre ES9038Pro DAC / Amp in very good condition; 120V US model. Purchased in late December 2019 direct from Audio GD (I’m the original and only owner). Comes from a smoke and pet free home and with the original power cord, original USB cable, original mini remote, and the upgraded metal remote (brand new, I never used it). No issues or dents / cosmetic imperfections, and everything will come in the original box. Selling because I moved on to separate devices (Cayin stack). All inputs / outputs tested and working perfectly.

Check out all the details by the manufacturer here:
http://www.audio-gd.com/Pro/Headphoneamp/D27/D27EN.htm

Asking for $899.00 including PayPal fees and shipping within the Continental US only (sorry, not looking to ship internationally at the moment, and not looking for trades, either). Item ships from Southern California.

Couple of items of note (i.e. things I liked about this unit, etc):
1. Both the 4-pin XLR and the 1/4" headphone outputs work at the same time, with no change in quality if two headphones are plugged in.
2. Just like the headphone outputs, all 3 outputs work simultaneously.
3. Unit gets quite warm after about 2 hours of use; definitely keep the top vents open to the air, and do not put anything on top of the unit.
4. Unlike some other Audio GD units, with this one you can change filters and other settings without messing with the jumpers inside the unit; it’s all controlled with the front buttons.
5. NOTE: Typically, these units come with a ‘memory’ system that remembers your volume setting for each input. However, this particular unit does not have this feature; if you turn the unit off, the next time you turn it on the volume will be at 0 (for headphones / preamp).

Feel free to ask me any questions. Thanks again for looking, and have a great day!

How does it sound? Very hard to find any reviews for the DAC specifically.

Most of my use of the unit was as a combo unit, using its DAC and its headphone amp. Based on my limited use of it as a DAC only, I'd say it follows the usual 'standard' being a (dual) ESS chip DAC; it's more focused on detail retrieval than an AKM DAC, so you could pair it with a warmer / darker sounding set of headphones if you wanted to balance things out a bit. Sounds similar to my Cayin IDAC-6 Mk II (ESS-chip based) but with more soundstage and more detail retrieval.

Thanks for the response. I’m currently selling my Topping D90 and looking to consolidate to a single DAC for both electrostatics and dynamics, all run through tube amps. So this might work for those purposes, plus it gives me a solid state option in the mix. My plan was to sell the D90 and BF2 and upgrade to a Yggy but I’m not sure. I’ll do some more research on this, thank you.
