I am selling a Soekris DAC 1541, a recently discontinued classic AIO unit with which I have enjoyed music for roughly for 1.5 years, purchased second-hand from a respected longtime member in the hobby.

Condition: the sonic functionality is perfect. Full stop. Nothing else needs to be said there. The DAC was sold to me with a few tiny marks visible near the corner edges of the front face plate (see photos). As long as I have had the DAC, this has been entirely a non-issue, but it may be to you.

Pairing has been lovely with all amplifiers and headphones I have tried, being a very clean measuring DAC whose even timbre reminds me a bit of a good solid state DAC while carrying the virtues of excellent R2R design.

The reason I am selling? Because I want to save for the Soekris 2541!

I should also add that I have often found the included amplifier very handy in situations where absolute sonic quality was not my priority (such as gaming, casual YouTube, etc.).

I should also add that this unit came with the upgraded filters already loaded, but included in the package are the original filters.

Regarding the package, I have the original box and accessories (most notably the remote, which I rarely used).

Another lovely feature I frequently exploited was the ability to adjust the volume of the digital signal so that I could maximize the volume pot of amplifiers that were designed to sound best this way (i.e. DSHA 3F).

The Soekris DAC 1541's versatility and ease of use will be something I will dearly miss until I can afford the 2541.
