RAAL SR1a ribbons Earfield monitors for sale. They sound amazing - clarity, speed, detail, space are all top notch. They are the best headphones I've heard among: Grado RS1i, LCD2, Ether 1.2, Hifiman HE6v2 ... but of course a few price tier above.
After a lot of research, I wanted the best and clearly I got them. I also wanted the interface box so I could try and tweak based on pre-amps and amps -- I wanted the extra flexibility and "funability"
But I've come to the realization that my headphone listening is casual and I prefer speakers for critical listening. And I'd rather shift budget to stereo system.
No sonic or physical issues -- I would say normal wear and tear, but nothing major.
I'm looking for $2800 shipped and paypaled within the US (I can discount 3% if payed friends and family). I prefer to sell to someone that has references (or ratings here). I have perfect ratings on other sites under hk29.
Also note, I have an extra set of ribbons. The original ones developed a crease that I couldn't blow out - one side would almost, but they would come back. The new set (Both sides) is less than a week old and are fine. RAAL said you could send the original ones back and they could try to fix it -- I'll let the new owner do this if you want.
