The very latest JC3+( this one) now incorporates a Toroidal Transformer! Parasound searched for a superior replacement for their R-core transformer and found one that is even better than the previous upgraded R-core version of earlier JC3+ units ( per Richard Schram) All I can say is that it’s the best Phono preamp that I’ve ever heard in my professionally calibrated audio system. Many others sometimes sound “mechanical” to my ears. The JC3+ is simply musical. Clean, grainless, deep bass and huge soundstage! Perfect midrange, IMO. What else can one ask for?
