These purportedly outperform even the most expensive ($30,000+) cables from other brands. No idea how true that is, but they definitely blow away their own CT-2 Double Helix Signature ($2,800+) and Reveal ($899+) interconnects, which I previously owned.

For those not familiar with High Fidelity Cables, they use powerful magnets (inside a device in the middle, as well as in the connectors) to force electrons to the center of the (also magnetic) conductors and attain higher fidelity sound. If you have only used traditional cables before, these may redefine sound quality for you.

The sound is spectacular, with improvements across the board: resolution, dynamics, imaging, clarity...more naturally full-bodied and musical, less harsh and so on. They make music come to life in astonishing ways.

I am the original owner. They were purchased in late 2020 and are in like new condition. I never even removed the protective mesh around the magnetic devices.

Comes with the original heavy-duty Pelican case and shipping box.

Conditions of sale:

I am also open to trade offers, especially for high-end headphones.

Here's a little secret: with suitable adapters and electronics, you can use RCA cables as headphone cables and even speaker cables!

Chord DACs can drive most headphones and some passive loudspeakers (that are compact and/or sensitive enough) directly from their RCA outputs. (If you have electronics from other brands, you may or may not be able to use RCA cables as headphone or speaker cables.)

In my experience, the differences between cables are more apparent with a near-direct connection to the transducers. The magical transparency that Chord is renowned for was taken to another level with these, transforming the sound of everything I connected them to. Even with entry-level speakers, they're remarkable.

With the HIFIMAN HE1000se, I used AudioQuest right angle RCA adapters and Monoprice RCA to 3.5mm TS adapters to connect the RCAs to the headphones. With the AudioQuest NightHawk, I added Vention 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapters with thin shells. For passive speakers with banana sockets, all you need are RCA to banana plug adapters.

A word of caution for headphones: The magnetic RCA connectors (with twist locks) are abnormally heavy (albeit far less so than the primary magnets in the middle), so this does decrease comfort. The rigid cables restrict your movement when placed on either side of your head. If your desk/table is multipurpose, carefully moving around (and connecting/disconnecting) the cables before and after listening sessions may be a necessity. It's wildly impractical to use RCAs in such a manner...but for me, the ergonomic nightmare is worth it, because the sound is just so good. (Naturally, this isn't an issue for speakers.)

A more convenient alternative is to attach longer adapter cables (or adapters in conjunction with normal headphone cables) while having the RCA connectors rest on a surface. This is vastly more comfortable and does sound better than not having the Orchestral Helix in the chain...however, adding affordable cables into the mix compromises the sound too much for my liking. (Hence my short adapter solution.)

Of course, if you intend on only using them as interconnects between electronics, that makes things nice and simple. (Although I would encourage you to consider exploring their other possibilities I touched upon if you feel so inclined.)

Interesting idea regarding using rca cables with headphones. Have you seen adapters that would turn rca to 4 pin mini xlr found on Audeze and a few other headphones? I couldn’t find anything like that. I have a pair of Nordost Tyr 2 cables. It would be interesting to hear what they would do with Meze Empyrean connected to a Chord Dave.

The funny thing is that I had custom 4-pin mini XLR to female RCA short adapter cables made awhile ago. I will probably sell those, since I no longer have headphones compatible with them. Feel free to PM me about them.
