Selling my 3 month old Hagerman Tuba amp customized with African Mahogany wood. Sells new for $699 without wood. (He used to sell with wood for another $100 but does not any longer). 10 year warranty is transferable.
$600 price includes US shipping with insurance (extra for Canada).
Includes stock Mullard EL 84 tubes and barely used new Tung-Sol EL 84 tubes (cost me $32). Also includes Amperex Holland EL 84 D getter (date unknown, but likely late 1950s) which were the best out of about 10 types I tried, adding stronger bass presence. Dead quiet with all tubes I've tried.
Excellent with ZMFs, especially the Verite Open as it boosts the slightly recessed mids on the Verite. This amp also convinced me to keep my HD 800.
Very well reviewed against amps costing much more, such as the ECP T4.
I purchased this knowing I had the Pendant on order (as it also used EL 84 tubes) so planned to sell it once that arrived. Like the Pendant it's more transparent, neutral, and detailed vs. wet/tubey.
