I put together these headphones back in the late spring 2020 as a small project to keep busy.

base drivers, cable: SR80e headphone (purchased brand new in spring 2020)

wood cups and metal gimbals from earphone DIYlabs. these mimic the recent Alessandro MSPro cups. but note these are not actual grado cups - they are made by a third party. (the plastic shell holding the driver from the SR80 is kept and press fit into the wooden cups)

leather headband from plussoundaudio (a rustic red on top and natural tan on underside)

TTVJ DELUXE flat pads. these are excellent pad replacements and truly make the headphones a more euphoric listen. you sacrifice some soundstage, but I think they make the headphone more enjoyable by increasing bass and lower midrange presense.

also including stock S-cush pads and genuine Grado L-cush pads, to tailor you sound as you prefer.

All-in, the parts cost around 300 USD.
