Selling a lightly used Garage 1217 Project Horizon amplifier.
I bought it from Garage 1217 in 2022 and it was built by them with the aluminum chassis ($324.99) with the optional supercharger that allows you to use more power hungry tubes ($39.99), 6SN7 adapter ($24.99), and the large machined screws ($14.99).
I have another Horizon amp that I am keeping. This one was used occasionally by my wife. I compared the Horizon amp to a Bryston BHA-1, Eddie Current ZDS, and various Schiit amps with my HD800 and it was my favorite. It is accurate without being harsh like the Bryston/Schiit but smooth without being smothered and veiled like the EC. The secret is having the supercharger and using 6SN7 tubes like the vintage Tung Sol with the black base. We are now able to listen to speakers again now that our children are older and this amp has not been used in 2024.
A Sylvania tube is pictured and I can include it if you like. It sounds pretty good but is fairly rolled off on top.
I prefer some type of payment without fees so I don't have to report it as income but will accept it if you feel like you have to.
