Up for grabs is my beloved original Massdrop Focal Elex in Excellent condition. I purchased them used as a third owner, but the previous owners said they had only put a few hours on them each. I've kept them well protected, so they are very clean and free of any damage. I also recently conditioned the leather on the headband.
Comes with stock cables which still have their original plastic wrap protectors, the original magnetically closing box, and a pair of unopened replacement earpads from Massdrop (Drop). These are the first round replacement pads that received a lot of complaints. The stock pads are still in good condition so I never felt the need to open the new pads. The stock pads are really the only thing showing signs of wear on the headphones.
Asking for $500 shipped including the PayPal fee. Can usually ship same-day.
Why am I selling? I have the usual impulse to keep buying and selling to try all the different headphones out there, but frankly I loved the Elex so much I planned to keep it forever. But the fact is I got a little spoiled with the Stax SR-007 and the HEDDphone. The tiny compromises that were made in the Elex to match the price point have become increasingly obvious. I might decide to pick up another pair some day when I don't have to try and justify every purchase. I would still recommend these to anyone
