I have too many headphones. I seem to keep buying headphones although I have too many headphones. Clearly, I have a problem. Thus, I am selling one of my all time favorite closed back headphones even though I will probably buy it again in the future.
The e-mu teak is the best of the biodynamic driver line (like the X00 and denon d2000/5000). I have replaced the mahogany ear cups on a fostex TH-X00 with e-mu teak cups. As the headphones are identical except for the cup types and some cosmetics it is now an Emu-teak. Please note, this is not the detachable cable version (but honestly, that mod is not that hard if you want to do it) but comes with the longer fostex x-00 attached cable.
Great condition frame and cups. One small spot on of the pads is starting to wear and I have captured that in the photos. Great chance to get a pair of these at a great price ($480 online from E-mu for the attached cable unit). These come with a Geekria case pictured and are currently the least expensive teaks on the market.
