Up for sale I have my Dunu Zen which in my opinion are pretty special and bring some unique qualities to the table, especially for the price!
As you may know the Zen use trickle down technology from their $1.7k flagship Luna model. The 'ECLIPSƎ' driver they've brought to the Zen "eclipses" pretty much any other headphones I've heard in the bass department while giving a weight and authority to the rest of the spectrum which is pretty unique to the IEM market.
I recently bought the similarly priced Softears RSV which are currently receiving high praise among the community but IMO they sounded boring next to the Zen! The Zen are so much more dynamic and fun to listen too, the bass on the RSV sounds anemic and "puffy" in comparison and the whole signature just seems flat with less "life". This is where I feel that an all BA IEM just can't compete against a good dynamic driver when it comes to good bass replay.
I agree the RSV's have excellent tuning and extend further into the high frequencies giving them more air but personally I feel that everything else about the Zen is better including the imaging which I feel is more defined and the soundstage which I feel is wider despite having less air.
I sold the RSV's planning to fund the Sony IER-Z1R but thought I'd give the Zen a try as I've heard the Zen is actually quite similar to the Sony's but at a more affordable price.
I think the Zen are amazing for the money but I'm still keen to continue the journey and try the Sony's that apparently improve on that already great bass and also give a greater sense of stage and air.
I'll pass on the Zen for someone else to enjoy their amazing qualities and who knows maybe I'll be back!
In the sale I've included a balanced 2.5mm **** 8 Core Silver Plated Copper Cable which in my opinion is one of the nicest cables I've ever handled! Personally I found the Dunu cable a bit too stiff and heavy despite its obvious quality. The **** is incredibly soft and light, and I feel it perfectly matches the Zen's all black design!
I've also included a leather case with a custom insert made to house the IEM's and a 'Qudelix 5k'.
Any questions please ask.
