If you know Violectric, then you know that the V281 is one of the most highly-rated, sought-after headphone amps in the world, and it is unfortunately one that Violectric (Lake People) no longer makes. It can drive even the most power-hungry headphones, and even the standard model is fitted with a bevy of convenience and safety features. It has an elegant, sophisticated appearance, but it’s built like a tank. It’s simply one of the best there is.

This particular v281 was shipped directly to me from Violectric, where it received a pre-sale checkup (with perfect results) and the bulky remote was updated to the brand new, slim multi-function remote (pictured), which can adjust volume, change inputs, change outputs, and mute.
