The result was a blend of two Etymotic all-timers: the ER4XR and the EVO. From the ER4XR, we took the expressive, ultra-consistent single-balanced-armature design.

THIS looks great! I had the ER4XR and 2XR and had to sell both as I just could not wear them comfortably----after 10 minutes my ear canals would start to itch. The sound quality was never an issue----with this preferred design people like me can now enjoy the fabulous Etymotic sound! Smart move--- :ksc75smile:

Wow! this looks more smooth and cool, I believe the design is more friendlier on the ears. I never found good fit with the EVO, by the looks of it seems comfortable. sad to see the same estron t2 connectors though.
