I bought mine new from Apos Audio so I could get a two year warranty instead of one.

On a loosely related note, since you're a STAX user, I used to own an SR-007 MK1 and SRM-353X. General consensus is that it scales considerably with high-end electrostatic amps...but I went in another direction.
