I have been considering purchasing some Auteurs and recently contacted the guy at Acorn Audio about a demo (which all sounded a bit high risk as he expects a full RRP deposit (£1699) and also demands that you to take full responsibility for safe return, which all sounds rather risky with the state of UK couriers!).

Anyway, that aside, do you know if the ones you are selling were purchased from Acorn in the UK?

If so, do you know if the warranty is transferable and thus Acorn Audio would still honour the warranty on these?

Yes they were purchased from Acorn Audio UK...The warranty only applies to the original owner .

They do ship in a bomb proof case, so the courier would really need to royally **** up in order to break them, like park an artic on them.

Thanks for clarifying. That is a shame and a significant thing to miss out on when they usually come with a lifetime driver warranty!

Got stitched up with a faulty driver on my LCD2s last year, so the lack of warranty is probably a deal breaker for me.

Yes, fair point. But that still doesn't avoid the 'lost in transit' issue. Would dearly love to hear some in action though, so I'm not ruling it out.

Let me know if you're driving past the east midlands any time soon and I'll happily pay some top notch coffee and biscuits in return for a demo

They are great sounding headphones, hopefully you will get the chance to try them....or take the plunge.
