For your consideration I have a set of Dan Clark Audio Aeon 2 Noire in excellent condition. I bought them a few months ago open-box from Headphones.com and the warranty is transferable should you choose to register it (I have not). The set looked new when I took delivery of it (May 13th), and as you can see from the pictures, they look essentially the same today. No chips, dings, scuffs, tears, etc. All original accessories (case, 1/4" cable w/adapter, tuning pad set, paperwork, etc.) are included in the sale.

I'd intended to use these for travel, as they fold down into an incredibly small package, but it doesn't look like I'll be doing much travelling in the foreseeable future. They sound fantastic, with an exceptional soundstage (especially for a closed-back planar). Very light, with great comfort.

I am asking $645 shipped and paypal'd CONUS. I am not interested in any trades or shipping internationally at the moment.

Thanks for looking!

P.S. I also plan on listing a few other items in the near future:
Audeze Penrose
Beyerdynamic DT177X
Playstation Pulse 3D Headset

All of the above are very light use at most. If anything catches your eye, I'd be happy to bundle it with the Noire for a competitive price. Just let me know!

Hey, how are these for gaming/metal music? That's my main priority what I do and was wondering if they're good for those purposes

Hi! Thanks for your interest. Unfortunately, I'm not very well versed in metal music, so I don't think my advice is worth much in that regard. The Noire has a very balanced sound with a warmish tilt. I often see headphones with aggressive tuning being recommended for metal. I definitely wouldn't characterize the Noire as aggressive, but it's not sleepy like older Audeze models could be.

As for gaming, these have a great soundstage for closed backs--especially planars. They have a full, rich bass that extends all the way down, which I really enjoy for gaming/movies. If you're looking for "competitive gaming" tuning, which tends to be brighter and leaner, you'd probably be better suited with a different set of cans. But for a great set of all-rounders, I can't imagine better anywhere near this price point.

Hope this helps!

I absolutely love these and I can confirm they're great for travel. Fantastic portable, strong isolation, and really well executed tuning

If you want a much more clinically refined by slightly more bassy sound, try the Dekoni sheepskins - it does take a little bit of life out things like Audezes with stiff pads (little compression).
