What are your thoughts on the bass on these guys?
They're so mid-bass focused, almost to the point of reducing the sub-bass and treading on the mids, so it is really worth removing the white filters or tuning the low bass up. If you're familiar with the Campfire Audio IEMs, they're more like a Polaris V2 than Atlas or Solaris; based on your signature, think of the difference in bass from the Ara to the Vega/Lyra/Atlas but without the flat to tilted extension. They're still some of my favorite headphones as they do perform when you get the cables, pads, and amps aligned (no different from getting the right source gear for Andros).

Totally fair, I like that description. Now that I'm looking at the freq response graphs, I definitely see what you're describing. Funny enough, I've never tried Vega/Lyra/Atlas. The Polaris V2 were way too much for me.. I miss the sound of the Andro Golds, which had an amazing low end but ended up being ever-so-slightly too much for me. Aaaand now I've got that bass itch and new headphone itch, haha.

This sums it up! I do feel like the bass is more controlled than when I first got them. They perform really well with classic rock which I wasn’t expecting.
