The greatest amp that I have ever owned, upgraded and magnificent. This is Bottlehead's top of the line headphone tube amp, with the ability to play anything from IEMs to 600ohm Beyers. I have been running this with my ZMF Auteur and HD800 and I've had so many magical 'WHOA!' moments I can't count them.
This amp was professionally made, and I am the second owner, having purchased it here from another headfi member. I have upgraded the capacitors to 10uf Auricap XO (Caps were about $110). These have burned in, and to quote Humble Homemade hifi: "I found the XO to still have a pleasently smooth and clear presentation but gone is the slightly forward nature. They are more open and have more fine detail. These characteristics make it easy to follow the leading edge of instruments and create a greater sense of depth in the recording. Compared to the extremely neutral Jantzen Audio Superior Z-Cap there is more clarity, while maintaining a similar level of neutrality. Although there is lots of detail the XO never becomes edgy or sharp like some other "detailed" capacitors can sometimes be." There was a noted improvement in sound quality. If you wish, I can include the original Dayton Capacitors that were replaced.
These will come with a spare set of 6CPI & 12au7 tubes.
Due to the size and original DIY nature of this amp, I will only ship to Conus. This will be packaged securely and safely in bottleheads own transport packaging.
