Closed: Beyerdynamic T5 3rd Gen - New

I bought these brand new from Audio46 in NYC a couple of weeks ago. I also own the T5P 2nd Gen which are my current favorite headphones. I just had to try these to see how they compare. There are people who think they sound completely different but I disagree. I think they sound very similar. There might be a slight increase in bass extension in the newer model but, overall, I thought they sounded fairly close to each other. I still prefer the T5P 2nd Gen but only by a very small margin. The imaging on both of these headphones is the best I have heard so far and the bass is stellar for EDM.
