For sale are my beloved Beyerdynamic T1 2nd Gen Special Edition (Black). I love these headphones and firmly believe this is currently the best headphone Beyerdynamic makes (I prefer them over the 3rd gen T1). Selling this pair because at the moment, I simply need the money.

These have been taken care of immaculately. I always lay them down on a soft surface (no stands because I don't like how they compress the pads). I've always worn them with a headband cover so there is virtually no wear on the band. The headphones have a total of 50-60 hours on them and I am the original owner (purchased directly from the Beyerdynamic store in Farmingdale NY). I purposely asked the store to find me the newest "Serial #" they had available because I wanted the newest / latest production run of this headphone and the store came through for me with SN: 46196 .

These headphones are in MINT condition. No smudges/scratches/dents or other imperfections of any kind that I've been able to locate. Hopefully my photos will reflect this well. I do want to note.. When I first got these headphones.. they had a "death clamp". I found it very difficult and even painful to wear them for any period of time over 60 minutes.. but I loved how they sounded. I ended up stretching them out over some books and now they are snug but superbly comfortable. If you are expecting the original "clamp force", please be aware that this pair has that aspect already adjusted on them. They can be worn for hours with virtually no fatigue.

Included in this package are:
- Beyer T1 2nd Edition (Black) Headphones
- All packaging and original accessories (with 1/4' original audio cable)
- Dekoni Elite Velour Ear Pads (40$ value)
- Dekoni Elite Perforated Leather Ear Pads (70$ value)

I love these with all 3 ear pads and treat this just like Dan Clark's Ether "System" where you can swap them depending on what sound signature you're most in the mood for. I'll try to briefly describe each sound signature..

Stock Pads: Most detailed/analytical/bright but also most fatiguing sound signature. Clean highs/mids/bass and overall a lovely sound signature but the highs can sometimes get overbearing after a certain period of time (at least for me and on certain amps.. warmer amps may not have that issue)

Elite Velour Pads: Highs get tamed slightly, the sound signature gets "meatier/fuller" with a noticeable improvement to the bass slam and heft. LOVE these pads for any music that has hard hitting bass notes such as EDM/Rap/Hip Hop. Overall, a warmer sound signature that works great with most modern genres.. lovely with Rock music as well. I would describe them as non-fatiguing, and fairly "smooth".

Elite Perforated Leather Pads: Very neutral sound signature. Slightly tames the highs but retains a neutrality all through out the mids/low end. I actually really love this particular sound signature when I want to listen to a multitude of genres and have a good experience regardless of the track played. These are the most "neutral" of the 3 in my opinion. They do slightly improve the bass quantity, keep a beautiful mid range and tone down the highs while keeping a very coherent overall sound signature.
