Remote remote is 100% metal and have sharp corners, so the corners have a tiny bit of wear. No scratches on the unit itself. Unit is filled with music.4TB version with SSD. From experience, this is the best combo dac and streamer for the price range, and you don't have to worry about usb cables or extra power cables for a split streamer/dac setup
