Sold: Audeze LCD-5

Selling my LCD-5, which is in outstanding condition. As you may have seen from my other ads, I regularly send my equipment for maintenance and inspection. This LCD-5 returned from Audeze 11 months ago, testing perfectly and fitted with brand-new pads. Although the previous pads weren’t significantly worn, I took the opportunity to have them replaced by Audeze, the only authorized service provider for this.

The headphones are free from blemishes or any visible signs of use, at least to the naked eye. They’ve been meticulously cared for, cleaned after every use, and I’ve ensured that the cups have never come into contact with each other. The original packaging and accessories are included. As I continue my audio journey and explore new gear, I’ll be listing other items soon (e.g., ZMF VO, Furman SPR-20i, Hugo TT2, and multiple NOS tubes).

I’ve received several similar questions, so I’d like to share some additional details:

I purchased these headphones from a Head-Fier two years ago, and the unit was practically new at the time. Last year, I sent them to Audeze for maintenance, where they conducted a full check to confirm they were within spec, ensured wiring continuity, and replaced the pads. This service cost $220 USD (a benefit to the buyer in terms of cost), though it took over a month to complete.

Since then, I’ve barely used the LCD-5 due to frequent work trips and the arrival of other headphones (Susvara, Atrium). My limited time to enjoy my system has led me to explore the sound of my newer headphones—not because I no longer enjoy the LCD-5, but simply due to time constraints.

Regarding their condition, despite the clear pictures, some have asked about specifics. I conservatively describe them as having no visible blemishes to the naked eye. While I haven’t examined them under a magnifying glass, they look and feel as good as new when inspected normally.
