Up for grabs is a pair of Audeze LCD-3 with the original shipping box, stock 1/4" braided cable, and carrying case. It is the latest revision (which means that it should still be in warranty, but I don't have the receipt), which has the following changes compared to previous versions:

- Black leather pads in a new shape
- Newer aluminum suspension headband
- Mesh under grills instead of felt
- Harder, shinier finish on the wood cups
- Felt rings between the pads and wooden cups, just like the LCD-4

That last point is very important - Audeze figured out that the reason their drivers tend to rupture is because of pressure between the pads and diaphragm, so they added a felt ring there to completely mitigate this. They started with the felt ring on the 200-ohm LCD-4, and evidently brought that to the LCD-3 - I haven't heard about drivers being an issue since this revision. The carrying case is now the even more gigantic LCD-4 version as well.

I rated these cans a 7/10 on the condition scale because there's one small chip in the finish by the cable jack (the downside to very hard and shiny finishes is that they tend to chip very seldomly instead of scuffing/scratching all the time). There's a picture attached.
