I have begrudgingly decided to part ways with my Ampsandsound Mogwai SE. This is a "fully loaded" version with the Auricap and input transformer upgrades. It's actually slightly more upgraded than the regular fully-loaded version. More on that below.
This particular Mogwai SE has an interesting backstory. It was originally ZMF Zach's amplifier that he brought to audio events. I purchased the amp from him advertised as the fully-loaded version. I soon realized that this wasn't actually the fully-loaded version. As per ZMF's usual amazing customer service, Zach paid to have it shipped to Justin over at ampsandsound to install the upgrades. Well, Justin was out-of-stock of the input transformers he usually installs in the Mogwai SE, so he installed input transformers that he had on hand. As I understand, these are better than the usual transformers he uses. Long story short, this is the fully-loaded version of the amplifier, but better.
Cosmetically, the amp is in fantastic condition. The black base was bought new by me. Functionally, it's also in amazing condition. It functions and sounds incredible with both of my headphones (Arya and Verite closed).
The amp will come with a power cord, a couple tube sets (Sylvania 6SL7, Tung-Sol 6L6GC, JJ KT88, Sovtek 5AR4, and a NOS 12AX7 with adapter). For an additional charge, some more-exotic NOS tubes are also available.
