What did you decide in the end ? and the level of satisfaction with your choice, I am in the decision making process myself, I already have a DAC/AMP Questyle CMA 12 Master, but appears it will not drive Susvara well so eighing on the options and now:
- Kinki THR-1 (not a balanced setup but the most affordable)
- Burson Conductor 3XP (but must use it as a DAC/AMP combo because it has no Analog input)
- Burson Conductor 3XR (so pricey but gives me the maximum options )

I went with the Burson Conductor 3X Reference. I wasn’t able to try the Kinki amp to compare but the Burson has been great. I really enjoy the physical quality of the unit, the high level of performance and the ability to swap opamps (this really drove my decision the most). I am also considering buying a Susvara now that I have the right amp for it.. just gotta sell some things to come up with the cash..

All my planars really SING on the Burson.. my dynamics didn’t benefit nearly as much. I’d say if you’re a dynamic headphone guy, it’s probably not worth it.. but for planars.. there is really a big noticeable improvement over any mid-range tiered amp (<1k$).
