What I do for a living:

Being alive

Headphone Inventory

Own:
Grado SR125i
Logitech Ultimate Ears 4000
JVC HA-FXT90

---
How I'd rank the headphones I have listened to:

Tier 1:
HiFiMan HE-560 - very neutral sound, just like the HE-400i but refined treble

Tier 2 (AKA **** I'm really interested in):
Shure SRH1840 - very good for Japanese female vocals, but the bass is lacking
Grado PS500 - Grado forwardness, but w/ a more lively midbass & softened highs
Grado RS1i - best headphone for metal I've tried, too bright/forward for jpop?

Tier 3 (AKA **** I'm interested in):
HiFiMan HE-400i - good bass, weird soundstage, unimpressive for jpop :(
Sennheiser HD650 - true all rounder; no harshness at all but no excitement either
Focal Spirit Professional

Tier 4:
Sennheiser HD598 - the magic comes from how it can mellow out all recordings
Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro - detailed, good bass, but disappointing mids
Grado SR125i - where's the subbass?

Tier 5:
Logitech Ultimate Ears 4000 - actually sounds good w/ iTouch 2G & E12 combo
Westone UM Pro 10 - nice tonal balance
JVC HA-FXT90
Shure SE215 - good vocals, not sibilant, but the midbass is excessive
Sennheiser Momentum On-Ear - good bass, but the mids sound hollow
Sennheiser Momentum
Monster DNA - upper mids sound weird
Beyerdynamic DT770 - has the soundstage, mids too recessed, too much treble
Grado SR80i

Tier 6:
Westone ADV Alpha - better than the SE215 for vocals, but distracting subbass
Beyerdynamic DT1350 - boomy bass muddying the mids
Audio Technica ATH-M50 - overhyped as hell
Grado SR60i - sounded pretty hollow in comparison to the other models
JVC HA-FX40 - good sound for the price, a bit bright: clearly for low-volume listening
HiFiMan RE-400 - bass sounds like treble

Headphone Amp Inventory

Own:
FiiO E17 - pretty much docked to the E09K nowadays
FiiO E12 - cold sound. Very good synergy with the iPod Touch 2G and UE4000
FiiO E09K
Topping NX1 - dat battery life

---
Interested:
Little Dot I+
FiiO E11K
RSA P-51 Mustang - people are wanking to the mids so...
C&C BH2
Electric Avenues PA2V2

Source Inventory

FiiO E17
Cowon iAudio 9+
Sansa Fuze V1 (2x) - one with doggie bite marks, the other in good condition
Sansa Clip Zip - is now clipless D:
iPod Classic (7G) - Rockbox'd. Paired with my NX1 as of now
iPod Video (5G) - would be the DAP of choice, if not for the short battery life
iPod Touch 2G - seems detailed, but really only because of a 1-2 dB boost in treble
iPod Nano 4G - the click wheel is crapping out on me, also only has 4h battery life
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini - 8Tracks on-the-go~
Nokia Lumia 610 - retired phone, **** Zune

---
Interested:
Modi 2 Uber (desktop replacement for the E17; E17 is a letdown)
FiiO X1 (or if an X3K comes out, or hell, a DX50)
Sony NWZ-A10 series walkman

Cable Inventory

- Acoustic Research Optical cable for my ps2-e17 intercourse
- FiiO L9 LOD cable, very sexy but has a bit of a disagreement with my E12
- The 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male audio cable that came with my FiiO E17 have the most seductive midrange ever
- The 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable I borrowed from my friend (came with his E18) is also as erotic sounding. Very good quality
- Another free 3.5 to 3.5mm came in, with my E12. Will see if it can provide me with as much sensual auditory pleasure
-The beautiful 3.5 to 3.5mm that came with my Topping NX1. Looks really delicious. Maybe when the Fuze can eat it out when I stack it with an amp

Want:
ALO Green Line iPod LOD cable (L9 cable blocks the E12's volume pot, while FiiO's straight LOD is too long)
Also, a 3.5mm to 3.5mm Green Line for my Fuze. Why? Cause it looks damn good.

Power-Related Components

Fluorescent lightbulbs, which add to the ambience of my listening session.
Also my electric fan for when I need my music to sound more airy.
Heater; music sounds warmer and touches my soul. Or just body temp going up.

Other Audio Equipment

Sandisk Class 10 32GB SD card. Previously had a 16GB one, but it managed to find a new home without me noticing. The 16GB has a more accurate dynamic range due to it having less scan times compared to the 32GB, although the 32GB is just as good if I let the song buffer for a second. If the 16GB is filled with songs to the brim, then some of them might be distorted due to the bits b/w different songs getting mixed up (so usually the higher the memory the better!!)

Music Preferences

Metal (mainly Thrash, Power, Black, and Melodic Death Metal), J-Pop/Anisong, Videogame OSTs and remixes

Interests (non-headphone)

"Audio."

Gear-Fi (Favorite Non-Audio Gear & Gadgets)

ASUS S46C
Sony PS3 (fat, 160GB stock), PS2 (fat), PS1 (9000 series), and PSP-1000
Nintendo Wii, DSLite
