Headphone Inventory

too many to list without embarrassment. some current faves, with brief comments (in no particular order):
fidue a73--warmish and generally balanced, but with deep enhanced low end; immersive and a real live-in-concert feel
dqsm d2--rich, energetic and crystal clear, with near-basshead bottom that is nonetheless very fast and well-etched. imaging and stereo separation are fantastic; believe the hype.
moni one--supremely resolving and detailed treblehead iem; not for the treble-sensitive. deep insertion and correct tips critical to get sufficient lowend.
granvela urbanfun--remarkably refined for a budget hybrid; stands out for atypically balanced signature and overall accuracy
einsear t2--nicely tuned (balanced with mildly juiced low end), quite detailed and nuetralish; very comfortable and good for extended listening
music maker tk13--more refined and less aggressive/bassy that the tk12, with similarly large stage and clarity.
magaosi (hlsx) bk50--extremely smooth without sacrificing detail or energy
trinity delta--big and natural sounding, with wide stage and particularly accurate instrument placement
senfer dt2+--a well tuned v, with tight impactful bass, clear mids and sparkly, detailed highs
meelec a161p--considerable punch for a single BA; lush sounding and very forgiving of source
vivo xe800--drums and acoustic guitars sound almost more real than memorex; vivid and crisp, if somewhat anemic in the midbass region; some might find the treble overbright
lz a2s--the bass here is as good as it gets, and they present lower-quality files very capably. could use a bit more treble energy
tennmak dulcimer--small stage but crystalline clarity despite the huge bottom end
pmv a01mk2--very analog-sounding and listenable, with a big 3D stage and lots of space between instruments; not a bass monster

currently under evaluation:

sennheiser momentum in-ear
kz zst
trinity sabre
ty hiz g3
trinity vyrus
rha ma750

Source Inventory

i do most of my listening on the go from an htc 10, which obviously skews my preferences
