Good: Koss KSC-75 (really no reason to get anything more expensive unless you really like tons of bass/spending money on headphones), Stax SR-202 Whatever: Audeze LCD-2 (earlier gen.; irritating lack of treble), Denon D2000 (lack of lower midrange body), Sennheiser HD650, Beyerdynamic DT770, AKG K501, AKG K81DJ Not Good: Sennheiser HD595 (very veiled/muffled), Grado SR200 (pointless), Etymotic ER4P (I hear the "actual" frequency response [arcs up strongly around 4kHz] rather than the "perceived" response, no matter the fit), AKG K701 (most un-involving, non-musical headphone ever), Ultrasone HFi580 (earbud-quality exaggerated highs, and crappy, thumpy bass) Horrible: Sennheiser Earbuds (forgot name), misc. crap |
