I'm not very knowledgeable about the technical aspects of electronics, though I love and collect them. I mostly always get my stuff on the cheap, through friends and thrift stores, because I'm poor. I've ALWAYS had a record player and a stereo. I didn't get a CD player till 1994; but, I still purchased tapes till 1998, and used them till about 2002 for recording music. I got into car audio a little around 1991, put systems in most of my cars and can figure that stuff out pretty well. One of my good friends since 2007 is Bob Gross of Speaker Art. Bob is a genius speaker builder and got a lot of recognition about 10 years ago for his Super Clefs. He tries to teach me stuff but I'm slow. He gave me my first nice on ear headphones, my Grado 60s, which is one reason for my interest in Head-fi. My step mom works for a little company called Wyred 4 Sound, maybe you've heard of them. She merged with the company after Cullen Circuits went out of business. She worked for Cullen Circuits for 8 or so years I think. In 2005 she got me a job in the shipping Dept. of Cullen Circuits, which turned into Wyred 4 Sound years after I left. The 6 months I worked there I saw them mod, fix and build The Ampzilla, PS Audio and other products that I still barely understand. They would have me ship a cable first class, and I would always wonder what was so special about a cable. I probably dealt with some of you people on this site through shipping and or packing your item, haha. Your PS Audio box might have my hand writing on it. |

Had to make a foot for my record player, because I got it at good will for $10 and one was missing. My Sangean radio has an extra antenna that had to hook to the original antenna, because otherwise my favorite station comes in with static. |
