actually, im not sure if u guys know this. Zu currently has promotion for 3M cable...the price is 215 + shipping. thats the latest quotation i got from them on saturday

I paid $205 for 2.5m direct from Zu. I called them.

did they tell u that 3M would only cost u 10 bucks more? anyway, if u didnt need the extra 0.5m, even if it was free it wouldn't give u any benefit

Well I have the cable now, and considering the thickness of the cable the 2.0m would have been much better for my particular setup. The 2.5m works fine but there is an extra .5 or so of cable dangling that I don't need. It only serves to get in the way. I should have gotten the 2.0m but I'm not that worried about it. One day the extra length may come in handy... I hope...

As for the sound: well it's ok. It seems a whole lot bassier which you may or may not like. I would say it is a bit warmer and richer overall though. This one isn't fully 'burned in' so I really should wait a while before I comment I suppose.

I ordered a secondhand HD650 + 1.5m Zu Mobius. I thought since I want the 'best' Senn sound I might as well go for a short cable anyway, not that it will make an audible difference, but you never know...

I also have a 3.0m Cardas and a Grado extension lead (which looks to be about 14 kms long, ha-ha) so for times when I am not doing critical listening (close to the source and amp in my bedroom) I can always add length. None of my other listening zones (PC, home theatre) have headamps so it's no great loss if I'm not Zu-enabled everywhere.
