As for the color, DA's pictures don't really capture the blue that well. I found the same problem with my digicam -- the flash makes them look brighter/smurfier than they really are. They're basically a light blue, but not a "bright" blue, and they aren't really the same color as the blue (ugly) button on the HD600.

Cable manufacturers like to make their cables very distinct -- it's a form of advertising. If you see a pair of Sennheisers with this color blue, you know it's a Cardas cable.

I was a little curious and decided to look at your other pics, Dark Angel, (sorry for barging into them, BTW) and I saw that picture of the LouisXIV-would-be-proud wall clock. About 10-12 years ago, in my old house, we used to have a clock that looked exactly like that one! It really brought back some memories of my old house. Our clock is now at my grandma's house in a little town called Tecolotlan about an hour south of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Well...in the opinion of *this* UCLA alumnus, that smurf blue is lighter than the true UCLA Blue/Gold...and I still don't love the color

I LUV THE COLOR.

If you paint it, the paint may adhere to the cable, causing a dielectric effect, and reduce the high-fidelity qualities of the cable. I wouldn't do that.

I wonder what amp a blue cable would fit right in with?

Actaully, I'm a couple of days into burn-in already.
