Hello all. I'm in the process of trying to find quality mini jack to RCA interconnect. I want to stick in the range of $30. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

If you have a Magnolia Hi-Fi/Best Buy in your area, you can get the Audioquest G-snake 1m for $25.

go on ebay and you can get a Zu Pivot (much more expensive on their website) for around 30 bucks. nothing beats them in this price range.

Sounds like the Pivot may be the winner. Thanks guys.

Would there really be a real world difference between a zu pivot and a radio shack mini-rca cable?

No.

So then what's the point in getting the zu pivot?

Beats me. They look nice? Even if it did make a slight difference in sound, it definitely would not make a world's difference.

I think he meant "would there be a noticeable difference," not "would there be a big difference."

It's hard to say without hearing or looking at them. In my opinion, unless you've got big EMI problems, only truly bad cables should really hurt the sound... but Radio Shack does sell quite a bit of truly bad stuff. Do a comparison yourself and see what you think.

A Zu pivot makes a noticeable difference, actually I thought it made a significant difference with my modest system. It added a bit more detail and space to the sound. No it isn't going to be the same as a change in a component, but you would notice the difference. Definitely get it you will be happy you did. If for some reason you don't like it or don't think it makes a difference, you could sell it in a heartbeat.

I agree, the Zu Pivot does make a noticeable difference. How big is that noticeable difference? I wouldn't say it's a night and day difference but very noticeable. Mids are little more deatailed and bass is delivered faster and tighter thru the Zu's. That and plus better build quality and parts used makes it worth spending a little more over the Radio Shack mini-rca cable IMO.
