I have roamed these boards for a while now, and even when purchasing my e3c's thanks to some great advice, I have concluded the following...

Earphones are like Humans - You can categorise and look at all the facts to see which suits you the best, but unless you give them a try, you'll never know what happens...

You could put it another way: There's no substitute or experience (and that includes realising when you aren't experienced!)
