PX200 cord woes

So I bought a pair of PX200s about a month ago. Today when I went to put them on my head I noticed that about 1/8th of the insulation had been sheared off the cable near the spot where the little grey slider sits when the phones are folded and in their case. It seems like the slider just snagged the covering somehow and pulled it back.

Do you think Sennheiser will take them back and fix them under warranty? Or will they tell me this is my fault somehow? I can't be sure that the slider did it, but that's the only plausible way I can think of for this to happen.

Somehow my cord got nearly completely sheared too. I guess it's because the cord is so thin and light (enforced with kevlar?!). Sennheiser took em back and got me a new pair. Great service!
