ok i got a av-710 on the way and ive been reading the various threads on here. now im confused...everyone is talking about enabling high quality 96khz mode and digital out with asio plugins...but does this apply if your just planning on using the 2 normal (l + r) channels into a standard 2 channel amp?

i.e. just install the latest drivers, plug in 3.5mm plug to rca lead to amp andbang! bobs your uncle? or should i also enable digital with high quality sampling so that the wolfson DAC is used and plug into the 7/8 plug?

thanks,

the latter, enable 96 khz use the 7/8 (black jack) set foobar to resample to 96, Mr. Radar's excellent graphical guide shows you how to set up foobar and the soundcard drivers to do exactly what you want.

it's still possible to use the 7/8 output without upsampling. Simply turn on the digital out while in regular 2 channel mode.
