Mr. Radar, that's a great link.

Just to be clear, it's possible that even though iTunes is capable of outputting a bit-perfect stream, the Lynx 2 WDM drivers that iTunes uses may not be bit-perfect. One really has to test this out and verify it for oneself. I don't have a Lynx 2 so I can't really say. (If I did have a Lynx 2, I'd probably use Foobar and ASIO anyway, which is likely to be clean on such a pro card.)

This is the way I have my MAC set-up as well.

How about Itunes running on a PC? Isn't that what JonL is trying to figure out?

The Lynx is obviously capable of bit perfect playback using ASIO but I seem to recall their driver does get loaded with kmixer.
