How to bypass cut-out unit in Wireless Headphone

Thread Starter
I have a set of Thomson WHP 540 U wireless headphones for use with T.V.
The unit is set to cut-out when the signal is insufficiently strong. Where I live the signal fluctuates a lot and so the unit cuts out most of the time.
How can I bypass the cut-out circuit? Unless I can do this the unit is useless. Which item on the circuit board controls the cut-out? Can I bypass it? Would be grateful for any technical hints.

I can't help you with the exact problem but I have some advice.
You know about those tv-signal amplifer/enhancer boxes that you put in between the tv antenna cable and the TV? They can work really well in getting a stronger signal, and they are not too expensive either.

That could be a way to go. Otherwise if you still want to go ahead with your project but don't get any help here i suggest that you try to post your question in the DIY-forum where you are more likely to get that sort of technical help.

Good luck and Merry Christmas

Something I'm meaning to try with my wireless headphones is building a parabolic reflector behind the transmitter. This would be a simple aluminum foil setup, but if it works, I'd probably create a cardboard backing for the aluminum.
Of course, this doesn't change FM capture effect problem that your question was about, but it might get more directed signal to me in the living room.
