What's the significance of your username? - Page 7

AbuHannibal....

Hannibal was my cat, who to my great distress passed away last year. Abu is an Arabic prefix meaning "father of." I am not Arab (though I am ultimately descended from a different ancient Middle Eastern people but I rather liked the concept of naming oneself as the father of a child, so I went with it.

My new furry friend is Mona, so maybe I should change it to AbuMona, but somehow that doesn't have the same ring to it.

I posted it once in a thread about six months ago (what about that Avitar). It's too long to do it again. Do a search.

LoL!

Anyways, mine stems from that fact that everyone of us are individuals in this world.. But each assigned a number due to the laws and rules set upon(/against?) us. My number comes from my year of birth

Well, I chaged my username a while ago.
Finally (after a year or so ), I managed to get my avatar updated.

Gaston Lagaffe (French) is my favorite comic figure known as Guust Flater in Dutch and Viggo in Norwegian.
There is no real English translation, perhaps you would know him as Gomer Goof.

Anyway this guy is incredibly clumsy. He always comes up with new inventions and the term "fidelity" is totally out of the question...
