PX 100 1 criticism!!!

Bought a pair of PX 100's today for my Zen Micro, sound is great. But one thing I don't like and thats that the headphone jack is vertical and not horizontal like my cheapie Sony's. I wish it was horizontal to fit in with my little Zen case that the wife made up. I feel if it was horizontal it would put less strain on the 3.5mm socket on the Micro.
I suppose I can mod the jack or maybe an adapter exists!!!
Any views welcome!!!

Radio Shack makes a 90 degree adapter for the 1/8" plugs. I had to get one to use my amp (which has a side mount input.) Costs about $4.00, but gets the job done. I'm sure there are others out there, probably cheaper, too.

Edit: Great phones, though, for the price, aren't they?

Thanks for that,I'll get this from my local guy.
Yes they are great phones. It will be interesting to see how long they last with as they are very foldable!!!

Another option would be to slice off the connector and attatch a replacement, you can usually get them at radioshack for a couple dollars or less... iirc they come in packages, and while you're at it you might be able to get a gold-plated one. I dont remember if that requires soldering, that might rule it out for you. I'm sure its not complicated and someone in the DIY forum could walk you through it. It would be a much tidier and sturdier solution.

The PX100 struck me as being very durable, as durable as my PX200 which has survived quite a few hazardous trips in my backpack over the year or so I've had them.

I hope my px100s are durable, as they go to school everyday with me in my bag, so far they have been holding up fine, the clippy things for the swinger things (yes... took me ages to learn the technical names :P) have loosened, but only to what they should be i think, they were very stiff origionly.

And also, the sound rocks

I've had the 100s for a while now and they've held up quite well. They felt a little flimsy to me at first but they've taken all the abuse I can dish out and I haven't been gentle with them!
