so i'm asking this question on the wrong website, i guess; but i'm sure some of you folks use speakers. the question is: do i need to buy speaker stands for my axiom m3ti speakers? or can i simply build them myself wit a two by four and a couple pieces of plywood? if i can build myself, is there a reccommended height for said bookshelf speakers? i will be lying or sitting on the couch mostly, about six feet away

I bought these puppies just before Christmas and they have been a revelation. I can't tell you how much they suit my listening tastes. I love close listening with lots of treble and tight...

It's very small player, so I like it. I have Clip+ since Christmas and I'm very satisfied!

First of all let me say this is one of my favourite BA driver earphones I have ever heard. That said, being a basshead, these didn't deliver in the bass department - I can't deny the fact...

I've had this card for quite a while now, and I have to say its a really nice card - a huge step-up to my on-board motherboard's audio. At first I do have to admit, it didn't feel like the D1...

Long story short: These earbuds, shouldn't ever be bought, when they come free in your iPod package, its fine to look at them, and try them on. If you know someone wanting to buy these,...

Walmart sells them for dirt cheap in case you were turned off by high prices elsewhere
. They're of similar quality etc too.

I think 31" is a pretty good height. I haven't seen the speakers in question but I believe the recommendation is that the top of the woofer should be at eye level. If you google for it there should be plenty of DIY info on building your own. Other than that, you can buy some at Guitar Center for a pretty good price if you haggle. I got some okay stands at Circuit City a while back for like $60 per pair. My only complaints about them is that they didn't come with carpet spikes.

The listening position should be level between your ears and just below the tweeter for a 2-way monitor. Thats what works best for me and many others I talked to.
