The infamous D-35 is on ebay and some others. They mention though that it is prone to skipping with some cd's, but that might mean there is no shock protection, not that the cd player is faulty.

There are others, but you really need to make sure a model is working of that age. It'd cost more to repair the thing than to buy a new one.

So as that you don't look like you're talking to yourself pj- (oh... PJ and Duncan... erm... I'm saying nothing!! : ) I would suggest getting the D35 if its cheap enough - even if the worm gear is dead - that can be fixed... and, i'm sure that the laser can be re-aligned as a worst case scenario?!

D-35 and D303 has common problem with the Motor causing skipping problem.  You can alway put the discman vertically and it will not skip with any CD.
