Do you listen to the radio? - Page 3

Very rarely!! As far as I am concerened listening to the local radio stations in the uk is nothing worse than going to the dentist (or your all time worst nightmare whatever that might be!) the same song being played twice in 20 minutes anyone?? Since getting Sky digital there has been a bit of success though with totalrock.com with a great show on saturdays from six where they get special guests in on a regular basis, like virtually every other week!! During the week its the same old same old I am afraid!!

Usually in the car and then only music that I would never actually buy.

Though I sometimes listen to the "classic rock" stations, most of the stations here in the Chicago area play those ********* top-40 pieces of crap. And though I sometimes listen to those crappy songs, I don't like any of them enough to justify buying them on CD.

I used to listen to the two Chicago classical radio stations. Both stations had pretty high quality signals, and whenever one started talking I'd switch over to the other. Earlier this year however, tragedy struck and 97.1 went under and turned into some bloody pop station. WFMT's selection seems to have changed gears towards more modernist works, which at times are a bit too dissonant for my liking. What a shame. I now listen to radio once in a while over the internet at some of the higher bitrate stations like KUSC (96kbps) or WNPR (>128kbps).
