Tube rollers, unite! Why not apply Nick Dangerous's concept to other tube types?
Several twists:
Each person could add a certain amount of money to the pot of their choice. This would be the community's budget for that type of tube (and the costs of shipping). With this money Head-Fi's most seasoned tube hunters would seek out the best reasonably priced tubes that they could to fill demand evenly. Whoever captained the tube charge would be responsible for distributing a bimonthly package of their brightest prospects.
As the package made its way from subscriber to subscriber, a pair of tubes would be left wherever it stopped. There would be a certain amount of luck involved in standing on the list. To remedy this names could be drawn at random and ordered as they were drawn.
Wouldn't this be a fun way of finding tubes that suite one's tastes without spending obscene amounts of money and suffering the disappointment that often comes with NOS/UOS tube buying?
It's late, and there are undoubtedly flaws in this plan, so help me iron them out. Let's get things rolling!
