“Question for James Tanner,

Just curious if Bryston has ever thought of manufacturing a dedicated Headphone Amp”

I am sure they would do a fantastic job if there is enough interest shown.

Hi Rob80b,

I have spent some quality time with their preamps, (I hate my friend at the audioshop... ) and I can say that if you're not afraid by the price tag every ( I think specially of their latest model with the DAC) one of them is worthing consideration.

OK it's not a dedicated head-amp but it's seems to me that it is a very interesting option. How many headphones amp are enjoying a 20 years warranty.....

I've been using Bryston for at least 20 years, so I am very aware of their quality and reliabilty, and thought it would be interesting it they have considered a dedicated headphone amp. I'm sure they could make something great for a reasonable price.

I can beat you on the 20 years mark... My parents bought the first year edition....

I agree with you about the new horizons.

Answer: Decware, it has a lifetime warranty. And they have a dedicated headphone amp.

As I recall reading, their integrated B60 uses all discrete devices in the output stage. Though the HiFi+ review didn't go nuts over it, it was 'good' and served it's purpose.

Hi Mikey01,

Saw DeVon's picture (the manager) and she's not my type....
Must admit the lifetime warranty is for the entire line....hum... not bad.

Hi chillysalsa,

The integrated line maybe wont change the world but the preamp line is more than serving it's purpose...

The headphone amp in Bryston's preamps is superb

The built-in headphone amp in Bryston's preamps is astonishingly good --not just for a preamp, but for any headamp.

For most electronics manufacturers, headphone jacks are an afterthought. But Bryston did a first-class job. I bought their preamp (BP-25) two years ago, months after spending $1,400 or $1,500 on a MOH Reference stepped -- a very fine headamp. To my surprise, there is so little difference between the sound of a Sen 650 or 600 through the MOH and the Bryston that I don't need the separate headamp. The Bryston is that good.

Hi Hatmann,

We wont make friends here talking like this but I did a little comparaison with my PPA and it made me say goodbye to this fine little amp....
