just sent out the prelude, now using stock cord for headroom max until statement arrives.
high is smeared up and there is a bit of sibilance, bass is a bit less tight and defined, overall transparency has decreased a bit.
i don't think power cord is voodoo...really.

The changes that are attributed to power cords are much more apparent to me than IC. Of note, the bass is usually the most noticeable change.

I don't think power cords are voodoo either, but one needs to tread with caution. After testing the Quail againt the Nite, I found that I preferred the Quail, as did Jasper994. The Nite definitely had less bass punch and instrument seperation, which is funny, since that is what I thought it excelled in before I did the testing.

1100 for a power cord is just absurd...i mean paying 500 for a pair of ICs or a power cord is already borderline crazy unless a. they are not snakeoil b. rig is good enough to make full use of those. heh i guess i will stick to audiogon and ebay shopping.

VD master series are all like $2000+

Iron_Dreamer, how about trying the cords directly into the wall and not the power conditioner?

I suppose I could try that. You think the power conditioner is actually hurting the sound?

VD recommends going straight to the wall.

Biggie.
