Best deal on Senn HD25/25-1?

Okay, I'm tired of waiting for a used pair, so does anyone know of a reputable dealer that has a great price at the moment? Would have loved to get in on the Etronics deal, but that seems to be gone.

Thanks.

Price matching samedaymsuic.com to spysupply007.com is the best I know of, for $149 shipped. I did this a few times to success, and all my other dealings with sameday have been great as well. I highly recommend them.

egad, who would ever buy something from that spysupply store? not only is the name lame, but the site is so unprofessional ... looks like a 7th grade elective class project. anyway - when i decided i wanted the 25's the etronics deal was over, it said out of stock. i clicked add to cart anyway, and the order went through all the way to processing ... it still says my order is "about to be shipped." i guess this is what i get for trying to play the system ... i'm giving them a ring tomorrow. in short - try adding to cart!

side note - if samedaymusic.com will pricematch that piece of crap, then they'll probably price match anything. make your own site! haha. are they an authorized sennheiser dealer? what are the stipulations on the samedaymusic site for price matching?

there is a "new" pair going on eBay Australia at the moment. The user has no feedback, but might be worth an enquiry. The price is $299 Australian with no other bids at the moment.

Here is the link to the eBay Auction

I got Zzounds.com to pricematch fotoconnections $145 and no shipping. They actually went $1.50 cheaper, so I wound up getting them for $143.50 shipped. Samedaymusic matched the price but not the shipping, but then I had already ordered from Zzounds by then. Zzounds is out of stock but expects some in early in Oct.

Great cans, BTW. I absolutely love mine.

Why are there two model numbers (25 & 25-1) for these cans?
Same question: are the HD25's the same phone as the HD25-1's that you see outside the US?
The 25 and 25-1 are the same thing. Even on the Sennheiser web site, they're listed as HD25 but the pictures show HD25-1 printed on the cans.

As far as pricing goes, I wonder if that Spysupply place would allow me to go and pick up an order. The place is maybe half an hour from where I live. If I could pay $150 and get it that same day, I'd be in heaven.

I'm reading in a different thread that these headphones work well with an Ipod, even without an external amplifier. Can anyone confirm?

Just about every thread on these phones has said that they're very easy to drive, thereby giving them their status as a very good choice for portable headphones.

Don't know about using them with an Ipod, but they work great with my Compaq laptop. I can't imagine them not working as well with the Ipod.

I can't find a place called fotoconnections anywhere? Did you spell it wrong? Google does not pull anything up.
